JPNATC awarded mBillionth award south Asia 2010 in M-Health

JPN Apex Trauma Centre's m-health initiative of decreasing queues and chaos in OPD using innovative technologies and the ubiquitous mobile phone was awarded the prestigious mBillionth award south Asia 2010 in M-Health. The award was given at a glittering gala ceremony on 23 July 2010 at hotel Eros Intercontinental, New Delhi.

Dr Deepak Agrawal, In charge-IT at JPNATC and who is also assistant professor of neurosurgery at the trauma centre received the award on behalf of AIIMS. He thanked AIIMS & Prof MC Misra (Chief, JPNATC) for providing the encouragement for this innovative project. He also thanked their technology partners-SM Telesys Limited- for converting this vision into reality. Dr Agrawal also remembered all the patients who have been coming to JPNATC and who have been waiting for something like this to happen.

The award is for computerized queue and appointment system for OPD's in JPNATC which has reduced wait time and chaos drastically at JPNATC.
