The Department of Radiology is a state of the art imaging centre located at the ground floor of the Centre. At present there are two faculty: Dr. Atin Kumar and Dr. Shivanand Gamanagatti, both Assistant Professors and 5 Senior Residents. The technical staff consists of 1 Technical Officer Mr. Dalbir Singh, 8 radiographers and 1 dark room assistant.

CT-MRI Machine
The department is equipped with Digital Radiography unit of Philips installed in casualty area, three ultrasound Doppler machines (2 in casualty and 1 in department), a conventional radiography unit of GE along with Computed Radiography unit of Fuji, a 40 slice CT scanner of Siemens (Somatom Sensation), a 1.5 T MRI of Siemens (Magnetom Avanto), three portable radiography units, Digital C arm unit of Siemens installed in OT and a full PACS connecting all the imaging equipment and providing radiological images to every wing/department of the Trauma Centre. In addition a flat panel Digital Subtraction Angiography unit of GE is under installation.
The department’s workload consists of an average of 5000 X rays, 900 utrasounds, 1400 CT scans and 130 MRI examinations per month.
